On July 10, 2012 Earth’s Promise in partnership with Orli Absorption Center and the Jewish Agency built a food garden in a neglected patch in the absorption center’s “backyard”. Together with the new Ethiopian immigrants Earth’s Promise staff and volunteers designed and created the food garden from scratch. The irrigation system was donated by Netafim Drip Irrigation company. On each plot the immigrants planted cabbages, hot peppers and corn. The new garden is a welcome addition to creating a local sources of food.
